George shared some insights regarding a digital communications protocol for Amateur Radio called “D-STAR” that has been stirring up quite a bit of diverse discussion in the Amateur Radio community recently. Latest issue of QST has a good article on the ID-800 which also includes a list of references of previous QST articles. One of the references is a summary of D-STAR.
